It’s said that in the bible lavender is often referred to as spikenard or nard. So, when Mary anointed our Savior’s feet the perfume likely smelled of lavender’s soothing aroma.
“Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with
the fragrance of the perfume.” (John 12:3)
The Myers’ family is expecting another great lavender harvest this year so they have decided to donate their surplus crop to the MVJSDA kitchen remodel fundraiser. Order fresh cut bouquets of lavender arrange delivery when they bloom (estimating June 5 - July 1st). Bundles are $10 each:
